Will You Look at That Cloud........

I was on my way to Snoqualmie and just

went into the park to take a few pictures when this rolled over my head,

putting a shadow on Mt. Si.

It moved on down the valley towards the Cascades.

Blue sky returned.

Other than skirting about taking photos , I've been busy

 painting a batch of Fall cards. Yup it is

pumpkin time.

I hope to get out to the local pumpkin batch as it is always a

fun place, especially when the kids are picking out their pumpkin.

Very serious business you know.

A Gourd I've Been Working On

After seeing all the beautiful Fall leaves I decided

to create their images on one of my gourds. I call it

Falling Leaves.

I love burning and  staining the gourds. But I don't

like the cleaning out. It is a chore and one has to wear a mask

to protect one's lungs. In the end I think it is well worth the effort.

I use dyes that are made for gourd work. The colors really stay true

and last much longer than leather dye.

Just a little break from sewing and painting.
