Guess who came for lunch...

I was so shook up that I only got the picture of his departure....sorry about that. We have had bobcats come by before but this guy was HUGE. My heart just stopped as he strolled by beneath my kitchen window. Just thought I'd share this pic with you. I thought about making noise so he would turn around but thought better of it !He was quite fat. So he must be a good hunter.....He's in the upper left hand corner. If he comes by tomorrow I'll ask him to pose, yup.

Wow Sharon! I enlarged the picture and he was so big! Are they bothersome to other animals in the area?

Sharon, we have bobcats here in PA but I've never seen one. They're supposedly very shy. However....many people have heard and seen mtn. lions and the "powers that be" won't yet acknowledge their return to the area. Wouldn't be good for tourism I think! They're asking for proof from people who have sighted them. We've heard one! Doesn't bother me that we have real WILDlife - it's what nature intended - as long as it stays out of our garden while we're out there! LOL!
Have a nice day!

making nose at him...banging pots and pans, etc. is actually a really good idea. He is beautiful...and can stay that way far from where you and Teddy enjoy tromping through your yard!
I hope Chester was hiding way up high in his tree!

OK ladies, Yes they are around here along with cougars and bear. Luckily they usually keep their distance. One exception was the summer before last we had a bear that kept coming back. He and I met face to face (6ft. from each other). The game dept. caught him after 4 days and moved him North. They caught him with of all things Crispy Cream donuts. Go figure.
CHESTER is fine. I'll keep you posted if he or she comes back....

Yikes! I was a bit traumatized by the racoon that visited us over the Christmas holidays.. I'm not sure how I would handle a bobcat!

Its wild kingdom out there! I'm glad your animals are ok, and you too. We have lots of critters around here also.
