First one just for fun.
I used to make and sell birdhouses. It all started with this simple little blue birdhouse, I made for fun one weekend.
This one was a duplex!!
Then I decided to make birdhouses that were replicas of places I had photographed, or peoples homes, cabins, wineries, barns, bed & breakfasts, and on and on. This was in my spare time when I wasn't at my "real" job writing advertisements for a real estate company. I kept track for quite awhile as to where they went. From Alaska down to Texas, up and down the east coast and in between. It was great fun as I painted little scenes in the windows, carved logs for the log cabins and actually used stones on the stone house ones. My signature was my little Bichon Frise peaking out one of the windows. I decided to share a few pictures of these birdhouses after visiting Kim's blog. She has made a birdhouse out of old jewelry. It is fantastic. So go take a little peak. You will be delighted. Also check out her dolls. She is one talented lady and her music will make you want to dance.

Tell Teddy you're welcome!
Sharon,
A work of art each one. They are amazing and the detail is just beautiful. So much time went in to each one. Did you take pictures of them all? These took some time. Thank you so much for your kind words about me and thank you for posting these so I could see them. Beautiful!
Sharon,
Thankyou for the award a few weeks ago. I'm sorry I've been so late replying but have been busy with a committee I have just joined. We are trying to save beautiful agricultural land from being destroyed by a developer.
Anyway I should be getting back to blogland very soon.
Sharon, your birdhouses are just so cute. You really have an eye for detail. Thanks for showing them.
Beth

What wonderful birdhouses....you are a very clever person.
ooh Sharon I love love love the birdhouses. This is something I've been thinking about...I've been wanting to make some myself from weird stuff I've squirreled away in the basement. Yours are amazing...they must have taken every waking second that you weren't at the "real" job!
oh and...
Happy Belated, Teddy!
The birdhouses are fabulous - how neat to know that they have traveled so far.
