We made our road trip for Easter, to Hope Island Inn. It was a rainy day but we were greeted by Grant the owner, his wife Annette and the wonderful Dagmar the chef. These wonderful people, that I call dear friends, can make the sun shine even when it is cold and raining. As promised I have pictures of the Inn, Dagmar, and what the food is like that they serve. Grant was gracious enough to give me a wonderful DVD so I could show you the Inn on nicer weather days.
Here is the Inn out on the point. The sea otters often swim by and are quite entertaining.
Lots of weddings take place out on the point in this beautful pergola overlooking the bay and the islands.
The Inn has been here since 1939. It is filled with lovely memorabilia from the early days. Wonderful Tiffany lamps, bronze statues, mermaid tables , wonderful old books, twinkling lights , beautiful flowers and on and on. You are out on the point and surrounded by water.
Back in the day, movie stars used to come by boat to stay at the inn. You still get the feeling of those days, today. I can only imagine the parties they had.
All these beautiful creations come from Dagmar the chef. She has a wonderful German accent, a twinkle in her eye and delightful stories to tell.
The whole day was a joy even with the rain. Our weather has been so nasty that the tulips have not showed their color yet. But as we went through La Conner the daffodils were shining brightly through the rain. I took this photo from the car as it was really raining.

Beautiful!
Looks like a lovely place to visit - and the food looks divine as well!!
What a wonderful report and time you had! Thanks so much for sharing with us. I really enjoyed traveling with you!
Originally from Chehalis, I have not heard of this location. Yes, occasionally the sun does peek thru, but without a daily sprinkle of angels mist, Washington State would not be as picturesque or gorgeous as it is. Lovely pics of your stay, fantastic presentation of the foods. Sounds like you had a lovely time. Pop over & join me on my blog. I am enjoying your creations, beautifully created. TTFN ~ Marydon

What a gorgeous place this Inn resides...I love it...boy could I live there...
*moan* WOW Dagmar lays out a nice buffet! My mouth is watering , but sadly there's no hope of that sort of feast tonight. Pizza , tops. I'd love to visit this inn , though :)
