Friday had a little fun. I saw an arrangement in a magazine and that was my downfall! I decided to make my own with silk flowers....So off I went to find just the perfect flowers... I am a fresh flower girl so these really had to look real, no shocking pink or wild iridescent purple! Just very real lush looking flowers. Since the elk had eaten most of my garden I felt this was a necessary thing to do... Can you see I was trying to justify all of this in my mind. Well when I got to the store I went a wee bit crazy...
and a exotic flower (on the left)....
Of course this all called for a lovely (heavy) new vase.... So I came home and spent the afternoon, not weeding, not sewing, not staining more logs, but creating this arrangement. Woke up to rain and dark skies this morning but didn't care. Got my cup of tea and went to the living room where my flowers now brighten my day. That's my story and I am sticking to it... LOL

Sharon!!! This bouquet is so GORGEOUS!! I love your choices of flowers and extra elements. I too love very realistic silk flowers, and even love them if they look a little dried! The wonderful thing about this arrangement is that you can enjoy it for a long time ~ Wishing you a peaceful Sunday sweet friend, xxoo, Dawn

Wow! Sharon you definately accomplished what you set out for. It's very realistic and I love the colors! My kind of arrangement women!

What a pretty bouquet, Sharon. You certainly have gourmet elk out there; I thought our bunnies were bad, but at least they aren't tall! How's your staining coming along? BTW, that's a great CQ mosaic!
Gorgeous colors. I have many throughout the home, colorful in any which way you can imagine. My home is on the neutral dark side and I use colorful and bright vases and flowers to bright rooms and they make my day each time I wake up. Thank you for sharing. It does get like that, you leave home with an idea and you come back with double triple the fun, with me all the time, cannot help it. The shops are so inspiring. :) cya
