The Legend of The Christmas Spider

A long time ago my mother gave me a precious little spider to hang on my Christmas tree. She told me there was an old German legend about the Christmas Spider. I have always hung my spider on my tree ever since.

This year I decided to make some to share with you. I recreated them with glass beads, Swarovski crystallized green eyes , a wood body painted silver and sprinkled with crystal fine glitter. They have a sweet red silk poinsettia with a tiny pearl on their back. They swing gently on a guilded silver thread.

I made these cute little gift boxes for the spiders to arrive in. They make nice little gifts for your friends too!

I also made a booklet of the Legend of the Christmas Spider that is included. I shall list them at The Wildflowerhouse Shoppe before listing on my Etsy shop.
