Midnight and Halloween... Mosaic Monday

She doesn't like to have her picture taken (can you tell!)

We have a twenty some lb. (she doesn't like her real weight exposed to the public)cat. She has the name of Midnight as that is the time I first saw her. She is jet black with the most beautiful green eyes. She arrived on our doorstep quite pregnant and had been deserted. She decided we were OK and put all her trust in us. We cared for her and she became part of the family. Her way of thanking us was to present us with nine (YES 9) kittens some weeks later. I must tell you it was a zoo around here with, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 9 kittens, and a cockateil ( who also found us, but that's another story, about the bird). The vet just shook his head when I brought all the kittens and Midnight in for their little surgeries. I was then able to adopt them out knowing that they would not be adding to the feline population. We still have Midnight or should I say she still has us. We love her a lot. I made this quilt in her honor. I do believe she posed for it. LOL
Happy Halloween everyone!
Drop over to Mary's Little Red House to see all the wonderful mosaics.

Thanks again Mary for hosting Mosaic Monday!

Wow ... Midnight and Ms Kitty DO look like they could be related, though those marvelous BLUE eyes are certainly unique. I wonder if she has some Siamese in her? Ms Kitty looks reddish brown in the sunshine but has yellow eyes. I'm told she might have some Burmise heritage but she's a feral cat who found ME years ago too so I don't really know. Thanks for your visit to Small Reflections. I do love your marvelous Halloween quilt ;-)
Hugs and blessings,

Thank goodness for people like you willing to have nine kitties fixed! Thank goodness for people like you who take in the unwanted, and love them. And nurture them. And give them good lives. Thank goodness.

That's such a cool story about Midnight and her kittens. We have two cats and one doesn't mind having her picture taken but the other one does. They definitely have very different personalities.

It is hard to photograph a cat, I have been trying for weeks, they just move to much, and a black one like ours is harder I think. My Pennywinkel found us as well, or we found her. anyhow she now owns us. It is nice that you had the kittens to enjoy for a while. They do make the house pretty crazy.
Your so very creative with a needle, just beautiful work! Did you do your banner? Lovely.
Happy week ahead!
