24 Hours later and 14 Degree's!!!!!!....

This is what I woke up to...
You can compare this to yesterdays photo,
big snowfall!
14 degrees at 7AM, good grief!
Teddy said no way (he is in a holding pattern)!
No wet fur for him, he remembers 2 years ago...
We got at least 12 inches, more with the drifts
as the wind really picked up..
Yes the sun is shining BUT it's
only 14 degrees.
I felt sorry for people trying to get home.
It was a major disaster everywhere,as they are just not equipped for this.
It took my son over five hours to get to his home in Seattle from Kirkland.
Normally a 15 to 20 minute drive.
Some people were in their cars for more than 11 hours.
Driving today is treacherous. I am staying put in my studio.
And keeping the bird feeders full.
Ho ho ho a little early.
PS. Forgot to mention I got locked out of the house during the snow storm yesterday
as Teddy had to go out and the door blew shut. I was dressed appropriately in my
bathrobe and slippers. DH was in his office downstairs. I rang the doorbell and pounded
on the door for 20 minutes before he came to the door to find me covered in snow. Now are you ready for this... I said couldn't you hear me ( I think my neighbor several acres over could have heard me) and he said, Are you ready..... " I thought you were in your studio creating something."
Sometimes it doesn't pay to be a creative soul.....
We are still laughing about it....

Hi Sharon Sweetie...
Oh how beautiful the snow looks. So sparkly, white and pure. No track marks and just in time for the holiday. I love it, and I thank you truly for bringing it to me this fine Tuesday.

I pray for safety for all that were on the roads traveling, for you all as you try to make your way about in daily lives. God gives at the right time, and for whatever reason, it is your gift of Love. Enjoy the majestic beauty sweet friend. Throw a snowball or two for me will you?

Happy Thanksgiving from My Home to Yours. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Hubby locked me out one day while I was in the garden. I went around to the front and rang the door bell, and rang, and rang, and rang and rang ... you get the idea. He sort of looked at me and said ... OH ... guess you need to carry a key!!!!!!!! :D :D :D Stay warm. Does Teddy have booties??!!

Happy Turkey Day!

That is the funniest story Sharon about being locked out. Thanks for the chuckle but so glad your hubby did eventually answer the door. Five hours to go 20mins.....that is just amazing. I think you can have that bit of the snow and the cold. I will sit here warm and admire your stunning view. Thanks again for sharing.

OMG, Sharon! I'm sitting here and laughed out loud when I read what your husband said after you got locked out yesterday - only because MY sainted husband would've done the same thing!!!

Stay safe and warm. Happy, Happy Thanksgiving! Warm Hugs, Terri xoxoxo

Sharon I am so thankful that you and your family and Teddy are safe. Your weather is what we are getting down the coast in Northern California. It is frigid cold here and we have plenty of snow. Luckily today lots of rain and hail with no extra snow. I do hope this is the worst of the entire winter for all of us. Happy Thanksgiving...

Sharon, Your pictures are so pretty, but I am not ready for that kind of weather. We have only got down to 23 degrees. Your pictures made me think of last winter when we had so much snow.If you have to be out, just be careful. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Your Missouri Friend.

The pictures are so beautiful Sharon, and even with all the snow you can still see the Indian, and he looks very peaceful up there.
Love the locked out story, when that happened to me, I had on no shoes, no bathrobe, in sub freezing temps. And at 1 in the morning! Glad someone was there to let you in!!

Hello, the ATC you sent Missy is very lovely. The simplicity of it reminds me of some Japanese art.

Can't help but admire the scenery you have. I lived in Seattle for a couple of years. From the windows at the back of the house we could Mt. Ranier (on a clear day), and from the living room we could see the Olympic Range. One of the things that I like about the area was that no one seem to not appreciate the view they had, and on a pretty day all Seattle seem to turn up outside.

Hi Sharon - I've been busy with my Giveway for the last week - hopefully, better luck next time!
The response was amazing!
The snow pics are incredible! we never see snow here. Perhaps hubby thought you needed a bit of toughening up (just kidding!).
Hugs,
Suzy
