The Sketchbook Challenge Seashells

Added seashells to my sketchbook today.
Above is my start with a Micron pen of a
Spider Conch I found on a Maui beach.
Then I put some watercolor to it.
Here on the Pacific coast where I live we are always
finding sand dollars.
I did this one in colored pencil and added a green mussel.
Whenever I go to my favorite sushi restaurant I order their
fabulous baked green mussels with a mmm good sauce on top.
Then I bring the shells home and scrub them. They a gorgeous
with their iridescent green. I guess I collect everything!

The sketchbook challenge sounds like something I should do to get myself back into painting. Crazy quilting has taken over my life, but I love it. Your shells are nice. You did a great job of capturing their shape. Thanks for visiting my blog. Enjoy your weekend! Connie

Ahhh a collector of everything! Me too and I do love the shells but there's no way I'm eating sushi! My husband makes it all the time being from a family of the Hawaiian islands, I just cannot choke it down. I must have my beloved seafood made into rubber? I know but I love it that way, your shells are beautiful. Hugs Pearl
