The Sketchbook Challenge

I decided to push myself this year with a few
new challenges. So I signed up for The
Sketchbook Challenge. (You can find the link
button on my sidebar). So for January we are suppose to
think of things we "highly prize".
Of course my family, pets and friends come first but
I also love nature and highly prize it in my life. So I chose nature.
This is my first and there will be many more. This was done with
micron permanent pens and watercolor.
I don't know about you but I always struggle with a fresh
blank sketchbook. Getting started is a challenge for me...
but once I start it gets easier. So this is my challenge to myself
this year. Check out the challenge as you might like to join in.

Nice! I especially love the dragonfly since I've not seen one since the monsoons/snow started. Great talking to you yesterday; I hope all will go well with your FIL. Stay warm and dry!

I'm still trying to come up with something for Z, but I think I'll go to this one now while looking for the inspiration I need! Love this sketch Sharon!

Love it Sharon, sure wish I could draw and paint it's just not in the cards for this girl. What a fun challange to get you going, can't wait to see more. Can you believe it was 57 degrees here today? Tuesday it snowed? I'm so confused...

Good for you for challenging yourself this year. Your journal page is beautiful....like something you'd see in a botanical drawing book. I love the delicate colors. Fantastic!!!
