Outside My Studio Window.

Just outside my studio window I have bird feeders
which are constantly busy. When they need refills
they let me know or the squirrel does.
If you enlarge the photo you can read why I
can't have the feeders out right now. :-(
Got my first bed of veggies planted a week ago
between rain showers. To my amazement all
the lettuces, spinach and Swiss chard are up.
It has been so nasty and cold I wasn't
sure they would want to show  up.
I put copper strips around the top edge of the
boxes and so far a slug has yet to cross. Yeah!!!!
Moving these huge beds again is something we
won't be doing  anytime soon! I hope this
works to deter the elk.

Sharon, I ADORE your little chickadee drawing!!! OMG! They're my very favorite little bird, and you've described them to a "T" -- little fluffballs! Let's hope that the black bear moves on to another territory! Hugs, Terri xoxoxo
PS - Matter of fact, BOTH drawings are awesome!

Oh so wonderful these pages Sharon. What a great way to keep memories. I have to agree with you for taking down the bird feeders....a bear visiting...that would be scary.

Good luck with your veggie gardens, and the picture out side your window is beautiful, Love your drawings. And watch out for those bears, scary!

I had to stop filling my feeders also. We had rats. I put poison deep inside their holes near our small fish pond but still felt I couldn't put the delicious sunflower seeds out. Oh, well.

Best wishes. Your blog is so pretty.

Ijust love your journal pages. I am very thankful that the bear did not want to come inside and eat you for dinner. How wonderful you will have veggies from your garden. Happy bird watching...not bear watching...

I hope you remain un-bothered by bears and elk! Sometimes the wildlife is just a little too interesting!

LOVE your watercolors, Sharon!

I am looking out the window at new snow. Yep. May 11 and more snow. How I wish I could pop over & help you with your gardening! :)

Enjoy!
