Summer of Color Red

Last Fall I decided to bring in my
four flower boxes of geraniums  as they
were still gorgeous. I sprayed for bugs and
then moved them to my garden window
by my bath tub. They bloomed happily
all winter and especially at Christmas.
Moved them out to there usual place for summer
and they are still looking beautiful.
This is for Summer of Color.
The color this week is red.
I did it in watercolor , pen and ink.
I can hardly wait to see what color Kristin has
picked for next week!

I've always wished to bring in my geraniums - did it once but they succumbed to an infestation. I have some lovely ones this year, so maybe I'll give it a try.
Your painting is very sweet - you captured the red.

Pretty pretty geraniums, beautifully painted.

I love geraniums, I've got some potted up on my patio table so I can see them from my kitchen window as it's too wet to sit outside and enjoy them :o(

Geraniums are the perfect flower for a window box, planter or just to enjoy and smile. I never thought to bring mine indoors this past winter and now they are frozen, dead and gone! Love your watercolor in red. Wondrous week to you...

What a nice place to overwinter geraniums. I've heard of the basement, but this is far better. Lovely watercolor...

You can find this flowers hanging from almost every window in my home town. It makes me very home sick but in a good way.
Your painting captures the essence of this plant.
But to be honest what I like the most id the view that you have from your house!! What a beautiful place to live!!
