Day 27 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days Down the Lane

Watercolor, pen and ink
Down the Lane
I like this painting as it reminds me of a lane I lived on as a small child.
You knew your neighbors, there was little traffic so you were free to
play up and down the lane. Things were very safe back then, with
little or no worries.
Three days to go......
People have asked if I will continue to show my paintings. Sure I will
but I will be taking more time. I wouldn't want to bore you all.

How totally charming...this may be my favorite. Yes, I remember when the traffic wasn't so bad and roads were more like lanes. I described the road passing my childhood home as a cow path; now it's a major highway so busy that my dad had to have the mailbox moved to his side of the street because he couldn't safely fetch the mail any longer. Sweet little painting...

I think that this just might be my favorite. I want to walk down that pretty lane.
Have a great week.
What will you do at the end of it, when Friday rolls around and it's February? If you are like me, you've put a lot of things on the back burner to accomplish this project. All that I can say, is "BRAVO!!!"
Beautiful work . . . now you're ready for a show.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)

So lovely and love the inspiration behind it - I admire you for doing this challenge and would love to do a painting a day challenge myself - I wonder if I could???

I long for things the way they were Sharon. Kids have no idea what life was like for us. So sad. But your paintings are sunshine in themselves! What do you do with them when they're finished? Such talent!

That one, I'd like to walk into. It reminds me of places I've been - perhaps Robin Hood Bay in Yorkshire - perhaps closer to home, in Oak Bay.
I very much enjoy seeing your paintings.
