My messy studio...........

This last weekend I ventured into my sewing studio and said " what has happened,oh for shame". When I start a project I can destroy a nicely organized studio, in a flash. Heaven help me if I have more than one project going. So without fail I am proceeding to try to reorganize, at least to the point that I can sit in my chair. I am shaming myself by posting these photo's. That way I will get busy. I borrowed Pats idea for storing lace. Just needs a little straightening........LOL!! The fabric in the closet are big pcs. and get moved quite often. Thank heaven for doors.
My Aunt left me her buttons, belt clasps, hat pins etc. Most came from 1918 and the 20's. I spent a lot of time trying to organize them and just looking at them. My Aunt and mother were identical twins. Their mom made all their outfits and was a beautiful seamstress. The pictures are old so forgive the photography. Thought you might enjoy the twins and some of their clothes made by their mother. Can you imagine having to make two of everything. Plus they had an older sister, that she also sewed for! I think their brother propably had store bought. I also found a small box holding more treasures. Beautiful buckles, hat pins, etc. Treasures to be sure! But I digress. Back

to cleaning the studio. I found a neat way to keep my beads for now. A shop was going out of business and they had their fixtures for sale. I picked this turning fixture for $5.00!

Of course I may need two or three of these someday, soon!!!
Then I put all my stabilizers in one place.... to be tidied up later....
I then put all my machine embroidery thread back in their case....
I then looked at my so called design wall and decided it will have to wait as there were at least 3 projects on there, each on top of the next. So I need to spend a whole day on that. I did get started separating batiks, pattern and solids by color. I wonder how long it will take me to mess this up.

At This point Teddy had had enough

so that's it for now. He's exhausted ha, what about me....................

Lovely family sewing goodies.I know how quickly your studio can become trashed from a project!!! Looks good though. It is kind of fun to organize because it really allows me to review what I have and inspires new ideas.
Teddy looks like he needs his mommy,LOL.

Right on Pat. I found a lot of things that I had forgotten about. Ideas are swirling in my head. Oh dear, this may put me into overload. By the way thanks for the lovely card and charm for comfort dolls. Totally unexpected but very happy to receive. Gleefully Sharon

You are too funny Sharon!!! I'm not famous, I just like to share that's all.
I forgot to say, aren't those large cookie jar neat? I wish my kitchen was large enough so I could display things in them.
