Pieces of Friendship

Here are three of the puzzle pieces I have been working on. Some are silk embroidery and some are crazy quilt. I think on the edges I shall have to make them all blanket stitch as it is difficult ( at least for me it is :) ) to satin machine stitch. I think if I keep making these I may get them right eventually. LOL They are fun to do, I'm just being picky..... Have more photos later, it's my birthday and we are off to celebrate. I was born on my dad's birthday, and we always celebrated big time. He passed away several years ago, but I always feel like we are celebrating together. I notice that blogger will be shutdown this afternoon at 4pm for maintenance. Don't kid yourself it's because they have to call out the fire trucks to put out the candles on my cake.LOL Never fear all will be OK. :-) !

I love the white puzzle piece. All of them are great. I had trouble machine stitching around mine too, but I thought it was because I tried to use one of my fancy stitches. The one I did by hand looks nicer but was a beast to get the needle though the think pellon.

Thanks to all you sweet ladies. My birthday was a great success. Dinner at a favorite place with family and today lunch with the posse. I was showered with sweet presents and the funniest cards you could ever imagine. The girls are something else. All in all I survived getting 1 year older. Now I must take a nap. :-) Sharon
