Spring has Sprung and My Ducks Arrived!

Last evening when I came home
from town the weather was warm and
breezy! So after dinner I sat under the
cherry tree and opened my mail.
I was so happy to open Michelle Palmers
package. It contained the beautiful little ducks
that I ordered from her. She does them in pen and ink
from sketches from her sketchbook.
This is one very talented artist
I have been following for years.
Her work is amazing.  My photo's don't do these
justice. The fine detail is wonderful.
I had a duck when I was little named Rufus. I am not
kidding when I tell you he would follow me to school.
My mom was not to happy to hear from the principal
and have to go get Rufus!
He was a very special duck.
Michelle captured Rufus to a tee!
Go visit Michelle and see her wonderful art.
If you like it buy it right away as they don"t last long.
Her pictures are much better than mine.
Just click on her highlighted name above.
You will be glad you did.
Have a great weekend!!!!

Such a sweet story about Rufus! MIchelle did a wonderful sketch - very nice! My grandpa had got me a duck when I was a little girl - now I have to see if I can dig that photo up.

Hi Sharon,
I have missed visiting you!!! Now for a catch up. I am glad you left a comment on my post. Mt. St. Helens,it was more of a dusting in N. Bend, I'm sure. It was a strange time. I went to the site about 5 years ago and was blown away...again. Unearthing my old stuff is therapy in a way...really makes a person think, and be glad of being alive and appreciating all that we have.
And now, Spring is here, my favorite time of year. The duck story is too sweet and Michelle is amazing. What are you going to do with the drawings?
Love
Marcie

Sharon,

This is my first visit to your beautiful blog. I will certainly be returning. I adore your "Rufus" and will be visiting Michelle. Thank you for the shout out and for participating in the post card exchange. The music on your blog is so soothing -- much like what I listen to while gardening.

Hi Sharon - I just clicked over from Diane's site. I chuckled reading your childhood duck story. Thanks for sharing. Enjoying your blog, this could be my first visit. I think I could have gotten lost. But glad I found my way here.

Congatulations on your award, Sharon. You deserve it...and it's always fun to learn something about someone else.

I love Michelle's work. I've made some recent purchases from her, too, and can't wait for them to arrive!

I used to have a duck when I was a kid. We'd be in the veg garden, helping my mum weed, and the ducks would come along behind us, eating bugs. They were so sweet. Ducks are such happy birds!

Have a great day!
xoxo
