Lace and Lavender

I made up these sweet lavender sachets this week.
I filled them with lavender and flax seed. The flax helps
to give them a little weight and shape.
The first one is a soft faint lavender ,blue and green
batik. The color is very faint. I stitched on
lace and pearl beads. The top is layers of lace and roses
with dewdrop glass beads. A gold charm of a leaf and a
flower finish it off. Satin ribbon loop for hanging on a
door handle if you wish.

The second one is  made up of a silky file fabric with
hand embroidered tiny flowers and pearls surrounding
a lovely lace motif. The top is layers of lace and roses.
There is a sweet gold bird charm and a pink satin ribbon loop.

The third one is  a silky file fabric covered with pearls surrounding
a lave motif. The top has layers of lace, a large pearl button, seashells,
a white satin ribbon loop, and a seahorse charm.

They all measure between 5 and 6 inches not including the loop.
They look nice just laying in a dish or hang them by their loop on
a door knob.
They all smell delicious and I nearly fell asleep as I was making them.
Shall try to get them listed by tomorrow. They will be in either  my Etsy
shop or my wildflowerhouse  shoppe!
But right now I need a nap.
Lavender will do it every time.....

I laughed about the *nap* qualities of lavender (it is true). Beautiful work (as usual). Wish we had smell-a-blog! :D :D

They are so pretty and I love the previous post about the silk embroidered flowers and sayings. It stormed here last night some people had hail damage and we are to get down in the 30's tonight. We turned the furnace back on. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day.

Exquisite! I've made sachets with lavender and eye pillows with flax but never thought about combining them.
