A Little Hard work-never Hurt Anybody-MMMM?

My bones would beg to differ with the
above statement. We had glorious weather
and I headed for the garden and my 15 yards
of mulch. After three steady days of seriously
hard labor I am one third done.
Looking out you can see Mt. Si (upper right).
We have had so much rain that it had been awhile.

The waterfall was running and the fish were
happy. The waterlilies are just peaking above the water.

While I was weeding I saw that my resident
pruner had arrived. Isn't she beautiful.

My Lupine was starting to bloom. I
love Lupine and so does my resident
pruner.

My wall (in the side garden) of rhodies
have been beaten down by all the rain.
I call this are Watership Down as this is where
all the resident bunnies are born and live.
They are pretty safe down under the branches.
A closer look shows their vibrant color.

My ivy geraniums are so lush. The color is
even more amazing in person.
So I guess a few aching  bones is OK.
But I still have five gardens, the lawn
 and the pastures to do.
But I love it all!

Your grounds are beautiful and your hard work shows magnificent results. I love how you have a "resident pruner". We have lots of them and I have resigned myself to the fact that they were here first and my plants are merely their pleasure. Happy mulching...

Your yard is so beautiful! I wish for weather like that. It is hot and dry here now and always a struggle in the gardening department...but I am out there every morning...struggling away.
