I had my Golden for only 4 years before he
died of cancer. Way to young... but the
wonderful memories he left with me are a
treasure. He had a favorite ball and I'd throw it
down the pasture and into the creek. He would charge
down and into the creek, nose down looking for that
ball, and happily running up the hill to me wet head
and all, proud as he could be. He would drop the ball
and wait for me to throw it again never tiring of the game.
The ball remains in the creek to this day and when
I walk down and see it I smile just thinking of my dear pal.

What a sweet companion your Golden must have been. I love the exercise I get from playing ball with our little guy.
awww....
It is so hard to lose a pet.
We had a Scotch Terrier named Angus and he died from cancer at age 9. He was such a good boy. Never got another ;(
I like your story about the ball
xoxo((((hugs))))

I loved reading about the ball and your dog. I'm so sorry he's gone but the memories live on.
Our furbabies are all so precious. It doesn't matter how long they are with us ... they love us and we love them. Sweet memories!
I love to read about people who care so much for us dogs and it's nice to see that you've found drawing to be a way to reinforce your good memories. When I started making marks it was just random but it gradually developed into actual drawing and now I find it's the best way to appreciate the things (especially dogs) I love.
Tchao-wow!
