Day 23 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days The Rooster

Watercolor, pen and ink
A friend of a friend took this photo while in Europe. The photo is wonderful.
Why did this rooster have to be white. It was a challenge for me. But he does have
an attitude doesn't he.
Seven more to go.....will I make it?
Did have some fun today. I headed out with gift certificate in hand to
Daniel Smith . I indulged myself with some new colors, brushes, matts
and carving tools. It is like a kid in a candy shop for me. But I did
hold back on some items. Yes I did.
Sunny,cloudy and a little rain.
PS. Thanks for the encouragement you dear friends keep sending my way.
I feel like I am running a marathon.

Well, you did a great job with the white. The rooster does have attitude. Whatever will you do with yourself when February rolls around? :) HA! Have a fabulous Friday! Tammy

I don't know where you get the ideas or the stamina - it's been a lot of fun to watch! The rooster is lovely - he has that look about him that lets you know that he is very aware that he's the Cock of the Walk.

Go, Sharon, go!!! I don't think I could run this marathon, so I'll just cheer on the sidelines for you! :)

P.S. - I wanted to tell you that I made my very first ribbon roses yesterday, using hand-dyed seam binding. I've always loved your ribbon work, Sharon, along with another blogger's (Laurie from My Crazy World of Crazy Quilting) and I finally tried it! Not saying they came out great, but I had a lot of fun and am looking forward to trying some more. So thank you for the inspiration, my friend!
Maybe one day I'll get more into watercolors too. :)
Hugs,
Zuzu

I know you're going to make it Sharon, it's been fun following along with you.
