My Book of Days

I have started a new watercolor journal.
I am calling it My Book of Days. The book will
consist of different days or events that will
 bring back memories for me.
Such as my trip to LaConner and dining with the seagulls.
Or maybe the fact that we have had little to no rain.So it
becomes an event when it happens.
I swear I saw the flowers turn their little heads upward to catch the raindrops.
I am still doing the 75 sketches in ink everyday but a girl has to
have a little color every now and then. Therefore the journal.
Hope you are all having a great weekend. I am off to sketch the
 Festival at Mount Si.

This is such a good idea. I've been crocheting, but I hear the watercolors calling to me! I know all about the flowers turning their heads up to the rain ... I turn my head up,too!

Sharon, I am just a wee tad (well maybe a BIG tad) envious of your gift for expressing yourself in this way. Your Day Book will be a treasure.

The most attractive way to journal I think. We are the exact opposite of you. It becomes a delightful rarity when the sun shines as it finally did today. Hope that you get some gentle rains.

A glorious idea, and such wonderful paintings. I love your determination to stick with something.

Our weather has indeed been spectacular this summer, but as a photographer I am noticing that the green I count on for a background in photos has often turned to brown and crispy. But it won't be long until we have rain most of the time again - and I am really really enjoying this summer.

Your watercolor sketchbook is wonderful and wonder filled. This was an excellent inspiration for me. I especially enjoyed the sketches of the flowers turning their heads up to catch the raindrops. I believe it is possible this is what you saw. I recently thought I saw my Calibrachoa flowers hanging their heads looking sad when it rained--or maybe I had spent a little too much time out in the garden that day!
