Not a Good Morning for North Bend

Maybe some of you have heard about the
explosion here in North Bend. At around 3:30 in the morning
there was a huge explosion and fire  down in town. They don't know
what caused it but are thinking it may be a natural gas leak. It blew the
whole strip mall to pieces destroying a pizza parlor , dance studio, barber shop
and many small business's. The windows and sliding glass doors of the apartment across the street blew out and a Les Schwab's huge glass doors blew in and were mangled.
Debris was found over a mile away. My neighbors woke up to the
explosion and fire ball  and I slept right on through the whole thing.
So did the puppies. They say it was felt 25 miles away in Issaquah.
I really must have been tired. If you want to see what I slept through...

The pictures from the next day are devastating. Today I was able to see
what was left, which was nothing . Totally leveled. I really feel sorry for everyone. I hope they find the cause soon.
Well I must get back to my painting and puppy training,,,,,
Thanks for the emails and calls, I am just fine. This all happened
 in the town below me.

Oh my word - that is just awful. I'd not heard anything of it. Luckily only the two injuries - it could have been so much worse. I'm glad you and the puppies are ok.

Wow, they are lucky that no one was killed or seriously injured with so much devastation going to be a hardship on so many people. Your little guys are growing and cute. Have a wonderful weekend Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

Yes, I did see that in the news. You truly must have been in a deep sleep to miss that, but I am glad that you did. Glad, too, that there was no loss of life.
