I'm starting a new journal using a Stillman & Birn Beta series journal.
So far I really like the paper which is 180lb. cold press. The above painting
is watercolor and I did use a lot of water with little to no buckling. I really
like this paper and the journal laid open for this 2 page painting.

Me... I have a nasty cold and cough. Have not been ill for two years.

Loved the tulips you painted in your new Stilman & Birn beta sketch book. I too have bought myself the same one and love the thickness of the paper & I'm also enjoying using it. The previous cheap ones I had used always buckled, so I used watercolour pencils to add some colour and a micron pen. Hope you better soon.

I love the tulips - reminds me of our tulip fields here. So sorry you are sick - that is no fun at all. Maybe the boys can entertain you while you recuperate.

Dear Sharon - first - sorry you are ill - a cold is not a nice thing so hoping you will be well soon. Your tulips, cherry blossoms and daffodil are all very lovely. I bought my first Stillman & Birn Beta journal. Haven't began painting in it yet...want to finish up a couple of others I still am working on. The anticipation of a new journal will keep me drawing so I can start on another. Take care of yourself - get lots of rest (if you can with Max and Cooper running about)! Hugs.
