I paint on,watching out the window for any sign
of raindrops. Froggy boots by the door.
Close up.
Sadly we lost some firefighters yesterday as a
fire turned on them. One boy was only 20,
trying to make some money for college. He
was just a boy. My heart just breaks for
his family.
My heart breaks for all of them.
Please let it rain

Sharon, this is so pretty and cheerful! Really nice! It makes you think of a summer with plenty of rain and no smoke or fires. I am heavy-hearted for the loss of those young firefighters, too. Smoke is super thick here today. We have a slight chance of rain tomorrow but the fear is of lightning.
My heart also breaks for the young man,his family, and others that have lost their lives in these fires. They are in my prayers.
I recently took up water painting, but think it will be a long long time if ever that I measure up to your beautiful work Sharon.
Please please let it rain. We are not that far from you and we have no rain forecast until about August 28 - I do hope it is sooner. And please stop the rain in my home town of Sitka, Alaska - there have been 6 landslides caused by 2 1/2 inches of rain in a short time - and three lives have been lost and dozens of homes evacuated as they think the mountainside will continue to fall.
I'm listening for rain - hoping for rain - and I love your painting. Hope you get the rain tonight.
Oh Sharon - so sorry to hear about the 20 year old fireman. I will pray hard that you do get some rain. Please keep safe friend.
Your painting of the flowers is simply beautiful. I love the blues and oranges you have captured. Such a gorgeous contrast. Your art always so cheerful and this piece is no exception. Take care and know I will be "looking up" for you. Hugs!
Owww Sharon i hope it Will rain soon what a Sad post.....like your painting have a Nice weekend love Ria x
UPDATE: The clouds rolled in, heavy and dark but not a raindrop among them. I guess I shall have to water around the house again. They say the winds in central WA will die down over the weekend which will help greatly for the fire fighters. Fingers crossed
Thanks for the nice comments about my latest endeavors !
I do wish it would rain. The fires have been so devastating. Best wishes, Tammy
What a lovely painting, Sharon. And yes, it was a very sad day in our state, wasn't it? The fires are just terrible; we do need rain but without lightning..... No sign of rain here, but it is cooler.
Sad to read your update with no rain. Losing our firefighters is so devastating for they are the "good and noble" people of this earth trying to do the right thing. Your paintings are lovely. No rain here either! Prayers for safety for all...
Sharon, hoping and praying for rain for all of you out there. My dear friend lives in Ridgefield, Wa. and keeps me posted. Nothing breaks my heart more than hearing of a young persons death as I have lost a 20 something son also. My mind jumps immediately to his family especially his mother.
Your painting is especially bright and cheerful. We need more of that. Thanks for the visit to my blog.
Hi Sharon. Thank you for stopping by. I had forgotten what corner you are in...oh my...what a corner this summer. Have not heard the latest news, but I hope the rains came. So much heartbreak and loss.
Lovely to see you doing your art, talented lady! I see you in the halls at Pinterest every now and then...it's like nodding hello in the parking lot or something.
We too need rain. My heart breaks for that dear man and his family. Beautiful work. Love to you, Diana
