Painting sunflowers for a art gathering at the end of August.
The puppies and I have been rain dancing for weeks now.
The trees are really suffering and forget the lawns.
Flowers what flowers.
The Snoqualmie River that flows so beautifully through our
town has turned to a slow trickle. Here is a picture I took
yesterday.
The light part in the middle of the photo is all rocks.
People can walk almost all the way across the river.
So sad.
But today around 2 PM it started to RAIN.
The puppies and I did a little dance in the rain.
At first they didn't know what that stuff falling
from the sky was, but they could see how happy
I was. I know the weather is calling for hot sunny
weather starting again tomorrow but I am thankful
for what we have right now.

Oh how glorious for you to get rain. I would put on my plaid boots (I don't have Froggies) and dance if it would rain here. Enjoy every minute. Have a wonderful art show soon...
Sharon your water color is so beautiful. I recently started to paint, but know I will never match your talent! Thank God for the rain, right!? And those frog boots! I love them!
Oh love the sunflowers. And the rain - ours started about the same time - it rained pretty hard for several hours - I think everyone in NW WA was doing a happy dance. Nothing since then and they took out the forecast of rain for today so I guess we are done for a while - but wasn't it fabulous????
I can tell how happy you are in this post! Yay for rain! Hope you get more soon. I'm worried sick that we're going to burn up this summer.
Hi Sharon, your sunflowers are gorgeous! So pleased to hear you got some rain and could wear your divine froggy boots!
I hope your back is improving.
First ,, love your sunflowers . Always one of my favorites.
And where's the rain when you really need it... ??
Hope this gets through as I have a lot of trouble with Google when I send comments.. of course I don't know how to fix it..
Oh Sharon - I know what it is like to want rain so badly and it just doesn't come. We had a tremendous amount in the early part of the summer but August is dry as bones and my flowers have all practically dried up. Hoping that tomorrow we receive some. Will continue to pray that your rainfall increases. It is so scary to see how dry you are. Love your painting of the sunflowers. Just beautiful. Have a great day. Hugs!
That surely was a welcome rain, wasn't it? Love that sunflower painting!
Hi Sharon - Your sunflower painting is just glorious! What talent you have. I'm so happy for you that it rained. It's awful when everything starts dying off and turns brown. And your boots - what can I say? they are just perfect for dancing in the rain.
My rubber boots look like alligator hide.
I love your groggy boots!
Hoping you get relief soon!
Ooh I forgot to tell you how much I like your sunflower painting.
What beautiful artwork and love your froggy gum boots.
