Flowers from my dear friends in town
Me
I have been away but not by choice...
On Fathers Day my son and I were walking
- up our long driveway when I had to stop
- because I started having pains in my chest and having trouble
- catching my breath. Then my mouth went numb.
- So he drove me to emergency and they thought I
- was having a heart attack. So by ambulance to the big city hospital.
- Tests after tests came back normal but the
- cardiologist were not buying it and wanted to do an
- angioplasty. So they scheduled it and had surgery the
- next day where they found a 99% percent blockage.
- Long story short I have a shiny new stent inside me
- and I am now feeling much more better.
- Glad to be alive!!!!
- I usually don't write about all this stuff but I felt there
- were a few things I could point out.
- For weeks I was always feeling tired.
- I had had some chest pain but thought it was
- acid reflux.
- My jaw had been sore on the right side for
- some time.
- I was winded going up the stairs.
- My complexion was pale.
- I just didn't add it all up. I had had a physical
- and all was fine. So ladies be aware our
- symptoms are not the same as men's.
- I was so lucky that my son was there, that the
- doctors were not fooled by my first set of tests
- and it was caught in time.
- So take the time to listen to your body.
- I am anxious to get back to painting.
- Sorry about the numbers on the left. This happened once
- before and I can't remember how to get them GONE.....!*** :-(

So glad your cardiologist knew better! And glad you are feeling better. A good lesson I will try to remember should I ever have those symptoms. Hope the pups are taking good care of you, Sharon!
Oh my Sharon, so lucky that your son was with you! What an anxious moment you had. But so good that you are feeling better now.
Hugs from Baukje in France
Oh Sharon - I am so glad they discovered your blockage. I have read that our symptoms are not like a man's. You are fortunate sweet friend and am so grateful that your son didn't take any chances and you are still with us and feeling much better. Take care and have a great weekend. Hugs!

You are a miracle and very blessed to have a son who took you to the hospital right away. Thankfully the doctors didn't give up and fixed you. May you feel good as new and enjoy every day. Hugs and Healing Energy Dear...
Thank-you for posting this Sharon, I'm so happy for you that it was caught in time, and that your dr. was on the ball. Your warning signs are well heeded. Bless You!
That is scary indeed - but glad it came out all right. Hard to pay attention to things we prefer to ignore - but good to listen to our bodies. Can't wait to see what you paint next - I'm always so inspired by your work. Happy weekend my friend.
Thank God your son was with you, Sharon and that he got you to the ER right away. It's amazing the way these things creep up on us. So glad you have a really competent cardiologist. Good to know you're in such good hands. My prayers are with you. Be well. xoxo
Oh wow, you were and your son were in the right place at the right time. So glad you are feeling so much better. Thanks for the list of symptoms, will have to remember for just in case. Take care.
During the summer months I'm always busy with guests coming and going from our rental cottage, so I don't visit my blogging friends as often, I was so sorry to read about your unfortunate happenings, but thanks to a conscientious doctor/specialist he decided to operate. i do hope all's well now, and you are taking a rest for a while. Take care and cuddle up with those adorable fluff balls of yours. I'm sure they bring you lots of joy.
I am so happy you are well, Sharon! What a blessing your son was there and your doctors knew what to do! It is an important reminder for all of us. Take good care!
This is actually the same symptoms a male friend of ours had and he wound up having 4 stints. Then, just a few months ago, he had been feeling out of sorts for a while, then his face went numb with Bell's palsy -- after some investigation, they realized two of his stints needed to be replaced. This is all within a year. And he is one of the healthiest, active people we know. Listening to our bodies is so important. Glad you are well. Take care!
Gosh, Sharon, that must have been really scary. So glad you're OK now. Happy Fourth! Have a wonderful celebration. Carpe diem!
What a lot you've been through, Sharon. Thank goodness your son was with you - thank goodness the doctors were thorough and thank goodness you don't live in a remote place, but have access to good care. I hope your recovery is complete and swift and that you can soon return to your painting and to all the things you love to do.
Thank goodness you had such a caring cardiologist. Glad you are feeling better. I will be sure to take note if I get similar symptoms, thanks for the heads up.
