Summer of Color Comes to an End

Summer of Color is coming to an end.
So I decided to make a mosaic of all I have done so far.
This has been such a delightful project
that I have decided to keep filling my
journal to the very end.
I would like to thank Kristin very much
for such a delightful time.
Here's hoping we can do it again.
Thank you Kristin!!!!

Working on Journal Covers

Have been working on journal covers for some journals
I have been making . A little machine sewing, some beading,
hand embroidery and stamping. All done on a nice weight
linen.

Adding different elements as I go along.
Love the button in the center of the flower.
Progressing at a snails pace but will show
you more when finished. Have been taking breaks
to watch the snow falling. About 12 inches now and very cold.
What's with this weather anyway....!?!

Coptic Stitch Journals & 3 Visitors

I decided to make some journals. I wanted to be able to
add lots of items or objects to them. So I did the coptic stitch
for the binding. This way there is room to add items and
also the pages will lay flat.
I had fun making a padded cover and back.
Added some laces,felt, stitching,hand-made
beads, cork beads, tiny pearls and cotton photo of a bird.
All on natural linen.
While I sat stitching in the garden I had three
little visitors. Mama, papa and baby bunny dropped
by for a little snack. I was amazed that they paid me no mind.
Just continued on their merry little way. They seldom eat my flowers,
(sometimes there is a renegade) just nibble on the grass and do a
fabulous job of trimming the flower garden edges. They are my
hired help. LOL
Have a great day!!!

Another Little Evening Bag

Another little gem made entirely of silk dupioni in a rich deep toffee brown.
Free motion quilting with a copper metallic thread, beaded with tiny copper colored and deep ruby colored beads. Three tear drop beads at the bottom point make a sparkling tassel.
Champagne silk dupioni lining with small snap closure. Dark chocolate brown satin cording
with a 19 inch drop. The bag has padding for the feel of softness and protecting
your valuables.
MMMM dark chocolate and toffee, I am getting hungry.
But it is back to the studio for me.
OK OK maybe one little tiny piece of Theo chocolate.
The one with sea salt sprinkled on top.....
I digress as usual........LOL

Je t' aime Bag!

Yes you have seen this before, when it wasn't finished.
Now it is finally  done. I just kept adding and fusing with it.
So now I listed it on my Etsy!
If you go there you can read all the things I put
into this little gem.
Now on to finish more UFO's.

Been Creating Again

I love books and am always looking
for a nice bookmark, instead of sticking
one of those magazine ad cards in place.
So I created one and then another and so on and
so forth!
Thought they would be fun with various sayings
and quotes on the backside...
Some crazy quilt stitching on batik fabrics...
Some little  attached charms...
Some flowery one's ...
More words to ponder....
So many bookmarks ...
I shall have to put some in my shoppe and on Etsy.
