Back to LaConnor
Dinner at sundown on the Swinomish Channel.
I devoured these wonderful mussels & clams in
a divine coconut sauce. Can you tell that I
liked these!
Then we did a little window
shopping. Thankfully the shops were
closed by the time we finished dinner or
I would be in big trouble.
This was a beautiful gourd.
A little bit of whimsy. Love the
colors and design.
Sweet statue listening to the sea.
Gorgeous glass work.
Love the frogs.
Cute shop door.
Didn't know that Fairy Godmothers were
unlimited....
The sign remains but I believe they are no longer in business.
I used to drive up here every year and shop my heart out for
seeds and plants. It was a wonderful place. A little bit of
heaven on earth.
Remember the Cat Bench a few posts back well
I did a little water color of it. I really love this
bench.
So it was another fun little trip with a ferry ride
to Whidbey Island, lunch with a dear friend in Langley,
road trip up the island looking for a possible future
home, ending in LaConner for dinner.
I feel spoiled.
Now back to cleaning the studio & painting.

Looks like a perfect day! And a perfect meal...coconut sauces...hmmmm...
Sounds like you had a wonderful day. I adore your watercolor of the kitty with birds bench. Summer is for enjoying and you did just that. Summer Sunshine Smiles...
Fun, fun, fun!!!! That cat bench is so adorable, I want it for my backyard!!! Loves from the Queen
Future home? Does this mean a move may be in the future. This would mean you would be a little closer for a visit! Thanks for sharing the lovely photos - just love that cat bench!
You are so talented....love the artwork you created from the cat bench...lovely bright colours. Wonderful photos too....so much inspiration around you. Thanks for asking about our renos. Thankfully there was no fire. Just a huge renovation that started because I wanted new carpet in the lounge room. :-) No really we did an extension and part reno when we first moved in 15years ago. At the time thinking it would only be a couple years later and we would finish it off. See good things to come to those that wait. :-)
I've never tried oysters before, I don't think I have the nerve! I've heard they're really good, but I can't get past the looks of them! It looks like you had the most perfect day, and your painting is precious!
