My heart is broken as I write this. Our dear Midnight is
now in heaven. This picture I took yesterday as she and I
sat in the sunshine (her favorite pastime). She had the most
gorgeous green eyes and beautiful shiny black fur. She
was a true lady right to the end.
Midnight came to live with us one sunny summer day.
She wandered up on our deck and decided to stay.
I might add that she was very, very pregnant at the
time. I took her in and kept her in and she blessed
us with nine (yes nine) kittens. Two gray, one tiger stripe,
two Siamese and four black. It was a zoo around here
for eight weeks and she was such a good mother to all
of them.We had them all neutered and put up for
adoption, except for three who had won our hearts.
This was thirteen years ago. The vet figured she was
fifteen now. She died of cancer. Surgery was not an option.
The three kittens we kept our waiting for her
as they have all passed away too.
So now I am having to help her buddy Teddy
understand and help him deal with the loss of
his pal. He has stopped eating but the vet
says this happens.
All our pets are family and they all have
brought us great joy. Miss Midnight you
are in our hearts forever.
Thank you for choosing us 13 years ago.

Oh Dear Sharon
My heart is breaking for you right now -
to lose a family member is so very very hard but sounds like she had a wonderful life with you and her little family of kittens that grew up together.
The memories of her sweetness will live on in your hearts.
Love and hugs,
Suzy
Midnight looks like a truly lovely lady and her green eyes are beautiful. I am SO sorry for you Sharon. I know exactly how you feel as I had to say goodbye to my special boy at this time last year. I cried for weeks and the sadness still comes at times. It is so difficult. My thoughts are with you my friend. Am sending big hugs. I was reminded by a friend in my sadness last year that I had many good years with my boy as you have had with her. It didn't take away the pain but it did remind me of how much happiness he brought to my life.
Oh Sharon I am so sorry. Nov. 15th will be 2 years for our Sasha BooBoo kitty going to heaven after being with us over 18 years. They are family and truly give their love so unconditionally. I shall say a prayer for Teddy and your family for healing energy and happy memories of Midnight and 13 wonderful years. Blessings Dear...
Hi Sharon,
I am sorry for your loss. Animals create a special place in our lives like no other. I wish Teddy and the rest of you peace and comfort.

Dearest Sharon:
I know how your heart is breaking right now. Our beloved pets become, not only a part of our family, but hugely resident in our hearts. When one must leave us to await our arrival (in God's time), we grieve the loss of their warmth and love in our daily lives.
I'll pray that the fact that you helped release your sweet Midnight from her diseased body will bring you some comfort. I know you will be able to remember all the happy times with the mommy who chose you.
Sending healing hugs from Florida.

I'm crying as I write this as I too lost a great furry friend a few weeks ago. Rosie cat was the gentlest cat I've ever know and I miss her so much.

There's no such thing as just a cat.....
Hugs and wishes in your time of grief.

I'm so sad for you. I know what it is like to lose a dear kitty friend.
A very pretty kitty. We lost our Miss Kitty a few years ago - it hurts. I'm glad you had a sunny day to share with her.
What sweet memories you have. I'm in need of the tssue box having read this. I know how very special a kitty she was to you and, having been through this a few times, I know how heavy your heart is. Thank you for sharing your gal with us.

Oh Sharon, it's so hard losing a loved one. Those four-footed ones sure do capture our hearts and they give so much pleasure and love to us for so little. You have lots of wonderful memories of that lovely lady. Hugs to you!
