Documented Life Project Week 6

We were to go to our Pinterest boards and find someone or thing who
you like and  create something  from that influence. This was a no
brainer for me! I have admired Martha Lever's art for years and have
taken several of her classes. This is a painting I did today. This is
from a  class teaching color drop flowers.
Once I started I spent the rest of my afternoon making cards.
I know I should be organizing my studio but this was
more fun. They are such happy little flowers.

I can see why you spent the rest of the day painting - those cute flowers would inspire a lot of fun painting.

I agree, much better to paint than organising your studio. Love this sketch you have chosen for your cards. how do you get the writing on the paper you use, do you copy something & print it onto the paper & paint over it? I love this effect. Your style is simple and loose, lovely.

Nice work, Sharon. I love them! Just the thing on a cold and dreary day.

Thank you for stopping by to visit me. I know last year was an extremely difficult one for you - am sending big hugs your way! I too have admired Martha's work and in fact took this class but never ended up playing with it much. SO, you've reminded me I need to do so. Am off to get my paints...

Those are lovely. I like the writing in the background. Is that the paper you used or did you do that part too? I would much rather create than organize. But this past week, I've done neither. School is so busy that by the time I get home, I just want to veg. :/ Have a great day. Tammy
